Bobbi Brown Make up Lesson
With only two shopping days left before Christmas, trawling the shops is becoming less and less appealing. Gift vouchers are an easy solution for lots of people, but for a beauty fan, there are always plenty of other options. One possible idea would be to arrange a make up lesson or make-over at your preferred counter. and perhaps offer to buy the recipient a recommended product. Bobbi Brown are a good choice for this purpose as their ‘your face but better’ axiom means their make up looks are accessible to everyone, with an emphasis on natural, flattering colours for all skin tones, and with a promise to take into account an individual’s personal style. They have recently opened a number of standalone stores, including a flagship store in Covent Garden, which if you can get to it, offers a beautiful space where you can go and have a play around with the products, with specially trained make up artists and skincare experts to hand to offer help and advice. They have a menu of free lessons including Teenage Beauty and the Secret to Perfect Skin as well as two lessons exclusive to the studio; a Problem Solving Make up lesson and a Mastering the Basics Lesson/Workshop. These cost £30 but are fully redeemable against products and are carried out by their Advanced Makeup Artist or Skincare Specialist.
If London is inaccessible to you then get in contact with your local counter to find out about either standard lessons or Pro Team events, which run nationwide and offer custom made 40 minute lessons on make up application and advice. The lessons are free but must be pre-booked (and it’s generally considered polite to purchase something if you are happy with the experience).
It could be something lovely for your recipient to look forward to in depressing January, when the resolutions have lapsed and Christmas indulgence seems a distant memory. You’d be giving a bit of a confidence boost, some practical skills and if your budget allows, perhaps a shiny new product at the end of it.
