Beauty baubles – small treats to hang from your tree
Continuing last year’s abundance of beauty treat/Christmas decoration hybrids, I am delighted to see plenty of brands embracing this cute seasonal trend. What’s great about these is that you can’t really give someone a Christmas decoration as a present as it would be too late to hang it up, so they’re basically designed to be gifts you buy for yourself, right? Or I may have missed the point…
Some of the best come from Molton Brown, who have made enticing globular shower gel or hand wash baubles in scents including Orange and Bergamot, Eucalyptus, and most aptly for the season, Frankincense and Allspice. Steam Cream have packaged their offering in a pretty silver star so it’s like an actual real decoration, and Green And Spring have their distinctive, delicate bird print housing a darling miniature bath oil. Ciaté have a choice of 5 glittery polishes in decorative baubles, with signature black ribbon perfect for tucking over a tree branch. Topshop’s mini nail varnish in hangable bag and Caudalie’s beribboned Beauty Elexir might be slightly pushing the theme to its limits, but desirable treats none the less.
I can’t vouch for how successful any of these products are at actually hanging from a branch as I envision my decoration-loving cat enthusiastically batting a bottle of festive sparkly nail polish to its death from a teetering tree, but I bet they would look great on yours.
