Debra Brock rounds up the product releases for Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2015
It’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month and many beauty companies have produced limited edition products supporting various breast cancer charities. As ever, The Estée Lauder Companies have launched a number of products in support of their Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign, which this year focuses on the question ‘What Happens Afterwards?’. Their free book, Afterwards, can be downloaded from their web site and provides advice and support for those affected by breast cancer.
If you’d like to support their campaign by buying a limited edition product these include Bobbi Brown’s Peony Set, a pink blush and mini face blender brush (£35, £5 donation), Aveda BCA Hand Relief Moisturizing Creme (£22, £2 donation), Jo Malone Red Roses Cologne 100ml (£85, £20 donation) and the Evelyn Lauder and Elizabeth Hurley Dream Pink Collection, which contains three Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipsticks in Tumultuous Pink, Powerful and Rebellious Rose (£28, 20% of suggested retail price donated).
Elemis have chosen to support Breast Cancer Care by donating £10,000 and creating a limited edition pink version of their best-selling Pro-Radiance Illuminating Flash Balm (£33). Bourjois are also supporting Breast Cancer Care with sales of their iconic Little Round Pot Blush (£7.99) and Rouge Edition Velvet Lipsticks (£8.99). They are donating £1 from each sale of these products on feelunique.com and lookfantastic.com during October. Crabtree & Evelyn are donating £1 for each sale of products (except Hand Therapy, 25g) in their Evelyn Rose and Pear and Pink Magnolia collection, again to Breast Cancer Care. Jane Iredale have launched a limited edition Smell the Roses Hydration Spray (£23, 100 per cent of the net profits will be donated to Against Breast Cancer).
Finally, if you’re in the market for some new hair styling products, ghd have a new retro style matte pink range of hairdryer, straighteners, paddle brush and hair clips. All are sold with a donation (varies by product) to Breast Cancer Now.
