Sometime around 28th December, when the jellied fruits and decent telly have run out, my thoughts turn to having a small reorganisation of stuff and a general handbag clearout. This important task is helped immeasurably by a smart new make-up bag, and here’s some of the loveliest around at the moment.

The Lipstick Pouch is really lovely and will hold a decent amount of powders, pencils and lipsticks on the go. Her SOS kits (from £20) also make brilliant presents – carefully thought through bags of essentials which can be refilled as necessary.

mac-bagsMAC do a number of bag options. Their set of three sturdy clear bags, £30, allow for endlessly satisfying reordering of eye shadows. However, if, like us, you’re simply incapable of travelling beauty-light, get your make-up its own dedicated travel case, £100, and let it travel in style.
