It never quite feels like the holiday season to me without snow, which is why I’m so glad it has snowed in the Berkshires already! This year, jane iredale introduced the limited edition Glamour Eye & Lip Palette and the Snappy Brush Wand for the 2013 holiday collection, along with the annual limited edition Refillable PurePressed Base Compact. I’m loving this new collection which features 15 PurePressed Eye Shadows, 10 of the NEW PureMoist Lipstick shades and 5 of the NEW PureGloss Lip Gloss shades. It’s a gorgeous makeup kit that makes an amazing gift. The Snappy Brush Wand has 3 interchangeable magnetic brushes that all link together, making both it and the Glamour Palette great for travel too!
This week our personal shoppers from shop.janeiredale.com got together to play with makeup together using the Glamour Eye & Lip Palette as well as some of their other favorite makeup products. Keep reading for three of their gorgeous looks and check back next week for the rest!
Late autumn frost by Hannah
“My inspiration comes from the warm leaves of fall being touched by the frost of an impending winter.”
- Apply your shade of PurePressed Base Mineral Foundation using the Handi Brush, spritz with your favorite Hydration Spray.
- Apply Peach Silk Eye Gloss from the top of your lash line up to just under your eyebrows on both eyes using the doe foot applicator. Gently pat with your ring finger to smooth out any hard edges.
- Using the Deluxe Shader Brush apply Champagne PurePressed Eye Shadow to your entire eyelid.
- Apply Rose Gold PurePressed Eye Shadow to your crease using the Crease tip from the Snappy Brush Wand, by resting the bristles in your crease and gently swooping the brush back and forth until you get the depth of color you are looking for.
- Apply Double Espresso PurePressed Eye Shadow to the outer corner of your eyelid starting at your lash line and working into your crease in a “v” shape. Blend well.
- Line your top lash line and the outer 3/4 of your bottom lash line with the Aquamarine Mystikol. For a more precise line use the Eyeliner tip of the Snappy Brush.
- Apply PureLash Lash Extender & Conditioner followed by 2 coats of Espresso Longest Lash Thickening and Lengthening Mascara to your top and bottom lashes, giving 30-60 seconds between each coat.
- Using the White Fan Brush, mix the 4 colors of Moonglow Quad Bronzer together and lightly dust your forehead, cheekbones and nose.
- Still using the White Fan Brush, apply Sheer Honey PurePressed Blush to the apples of your cheeks.
- Finish your look with Passion Lip Fixation.
Starry night by Yolanda
“My look was inspired by Van Gogh’s famous painting as it illustrates purple swirls of whimsy with a bright crescent moon combined with the diamond twinkle of the stars on a cold clear winter’s night.”
- Start by applying your shade of Amazing Base Loose Mineral Powder using the Chisel Powder Brush. Spritz with Hydration Spray.
- Apply Bellini PureGloss for a luscious, nude lip.
- Line your top and bottom lash line with Smoky Grey PurePressed Eye Shadow using the Eyeliner tip of the Snappy Brush Wand.
- Apply Royal Velvet PurePressed Eye Shadow on your eyelids using your ring finger.
- Using the Crease tip from the Snappy Brush Wamd, highlight your brow bone and the inner corner of your eye using Wink PurePressed Eye Shadow.
- Apply Connection In Touch Cream Blush to your cheeks using your fingertips.
Midnight hour by Ashley
“This daring look was inspired by the energy of long, dark nights.“
- Apply Smooth Affair Facial Primer & Brightener using your fingertips, followed by your shade of Glow Time BB Cream.
- Apply Connection In Touch Cream Blush to your cheeks using your fingertips.
- Apply Canvas Lid Primer to your entire eyelid and up to your brow bone using your ring finger.
- Next apply Merlot PurePressed Eye Shadow on your entire eyelid using the Deluxe Shader Brush.
- Apply Supernova PurePressed Eye Shadow on the outer 3/4 of your eyelid using the Deluxe Shader Brush.
- Apply Double Espresso PurePressed Eye Shadow in your crease using the Crease tip of the Snappy Brush and extend outward and down to create a v shape.
- Blend in a light layer of Dreamy Pink PurePressed Eye Shadow over the Supernova.
- Use Hush PurePressed Eye Shadowon your brow bone as a highlighter.
- Apply the Basic Brown Eye Pencil on your top and lower lash line.
- Using the Smudge tip of the Snappy Brush Wand apply the Dreamy Pink over your liner on the lower lash line.
- Finish off your eyes by applying the PureLash Lash Extender & Conditioner followed by Black Ice Longest Lash Thickening and Lengthening Mascara.
- Apply Kaylee PureMoist Lipstick to your lips.
