The author and fashion and interiors designer reveals the contents of her make-up bag.
1. Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation, £33
This is amazing. You put it on and everyone says “God, you look really well”. I opt for Warm Ivory in the summer and Porcelain Ivory in the winter. I’m quite into pale skin, red lips and little flick of eyeliner.
I wear it as a lip stain, but this is a great multi-tasker. You can put it anywhere really!
3. Viviscal Supplements, £49.95 for 60 tablets
I take my Viviscal supplements every day. The difference compared to when I didn’t take them is so noticeable. People have been saying I now have a healthy glow and I’ve really noticed the change in my hair and nails too.
4. Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream Skin Protectant, £25
I always take this with me when travelling. I always try to moisturise on the plane and do extra of everything!
5. Dr Sebagh Sun City Protection SPF30, £50
I use this Dr. Sebagh sunblock every day. My mum has always been quite into beauty and always told me to keep out of the sun. It’s the biggest ageing factor, really.
6. Dr Sebagh Cream Cleanser, £38, and Repair Skin Serum, £69
I use the Dr Sebagh Cleanser and Repair Skin Serum, followed by the Extreme Moisturiser and then sunblock. I love Dr. Sebagh products because they’re great for mature skin.
I always use Mac lipsticks. I wore red all the time from a young age but now I find it a bit ageing, so I tend to opt for a raspberry shade instead.
8. Vaseline petroleum jelly, £1.99
My lips get really chapped from all the wind when I’m walking the dog in the countryside. I always keep this on me to moisturise.
I use all the Shu Uemura make-up brushes, which are fantastic. My eyebrows are really light so I always have to fill those in and this brush does a good job.
10. Etat Libre d’Orange Jasmin et Cigarette eau de parfum, £60
My signature perfume. The scent is amazing. Sexy, sultry and elegant.
