Earlier this year I met Nicky Kinnaird of Space NK, and I asked her for her hero product recommendations. The very first thing she suggested was this tiny pot of balm. It’s spendy – there’s no getting away from it – but it’s been on my bathroom shelf since March, and I’m just on the last scrapings having used it morning and night on my lips for nine months. It’s ridiculously nourishing on lips and any other dry areas, smells gorgeous, and you only need the tiniest of amounts to sink into bed feeling like you’ve given yourself the biggest treat ever. This falls squarely into Sali’s “buy one small thing for your budget rather than a high street enormo-basket of tat” category. She’d argue that Creme de la Mer The Lip Balm is better, but you can prise my Baume de Rose out of my cold, dead hands.
