Bobbi Brown Everyday Pretty Lip & Eye Palette, £24
Look, if it were down to me every single door on this advent calendar would have a palette behind it – 24 perfectly proportioned make-up boxes of wonder. Sigh. I have, however, managed to sneak one in and my choice is this rookie palette by Bobbi Brown. The biggest criticism levelled at those of us who like palettes is that one never uses all the colours in the pan. Well, yes, the palette deniers may have a point – but they can’t be saying that about this one. Three highly wearable eyeshadows, two lip colours and a lip gloss. Yum. You’d use the lot. There’s a more comprehensive version in the Twilight Lip and Eye palette (£59), which is equally gorgeous and has many more shades to play with. I’ll be leaving this page open on my laptop – you know, just in case.
