Anyways, today’s post is majorly for any makeup artist who wants to grow their business -that is a Makeup Artist Freelancer or Studio Owner. Some of the tips I am going to post might not be new to you but they will act as a quick reminder and help keep you committed.

As some of you might know, I have been working as a professional makeup artist for almost 7 years and during these years I have worked with different brands in various capacities and I can say this for free that a simple marketing strategy is VERY important to the sustenance of your makeup business, it doesn’t have to cost a million , its just a simple and easy to follow plan.

You can break down each activity into phases – daily weekly and monthly plan of how to market your brand. How do you attract a new client? How do you maintain the old ones? How do you build your brand?

If you don’t already have  a Personal pitch for yourself and brand( which should be less than 100 words) , then maybe this might help –  Hello my name is Oluwayemisi Seriki, CEO and Head Makeup Artist N’sure Beauty Studio,  I am a passionate Beauty Blogger and beauty consultant/coach. I particularly love the  business side of makeup love.I love to teach and also learn.

Next, if you don’t have a logo its time to get one or if you have and you feel it needs revamping go ahead and rebrand. It is advisable to get it done professionally so that you will taken seriously .  A contract form is also important , we have touched on it previously , if you missed that check here .  You would also need a booking form,  a service rate, a website with your contacts and social media handles. You could also do collaboration with other vendors in the industry but make sure you book only the capacity you can handle. it is also very important to get your pricing , skill set and kit right.

Ok, so that we don’t take in to much without implementing , we will have the concluding part at a later post .I hope this will help a bit though, you can share with me tips on how you plan to grow your business in 2015.

Till my next post,
Hugs and Kisses,
